  •  Overnight travel to Dharamshala/McLeod Ganj. 
  •  Carry light snacks, warm clothes, and water.

The best time is from March to June and September to November. The weather is pleasant and perfect for trekking, sightseeing, and exploring monasteries. Avoid peak monsoon (July–August) due to rain.
The Triund Trek is beginner-friendly and around 9 km (one way) from McLeod Ganj. It takes 4–5 hours to reach the top and offers beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range. Suitable for fit beginners and regular hikers.
