Day-by-Day Itinerary

  •  Arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station.
  •  Drive to Shillong (approx. 3.5–4 hours).
  •  En route visit Umiam Lake (also known as Barapani) – serene and misty during monsoon.
  •  Check in to hotel and relax.
  •  Overnight stay in Shillong.
  •  Morning drive to the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons – often covered in clouds and fog during monsoon.
  •  Head to Cherrapunjee, known for its lush landscapes and high rainfall.
  •  En route, stop at Elephant Falls.
  •  Visit Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai Falls, and Mawsmai Caves.
  •  Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
  • Explore monsoon-fed waterfalls: Wei Sawdong, Dainthlen Falls (if roads are safe).
  •  Return to Shillong by afternoon.
  •  Free time to explore Police Bazaar or enjoy a warm meal at a local café.
